2025 Careers in Neuroscience Seminar: Victoria Corbit

April 3, 2025

9:30 AM - 10:30 AM

Please join us April 3, 2025 for the 2025 Careers in Neuroscience Seminar!  This year's event will feature Dr. Victoria Corbit.

Victoria is a PhD-trained neuroscientist with 12 years of experience conducting experimental and computational rodent behavioral research in academia. After many years dedicated to finding a research faculty position, Dr. Corbit changed goals and shifted into the non-profit world. She now works as the Director of Scientific Services at the National Disease Research Interchange (NDRI), a research resource that helps provide human biospecimens to researchers in academic, foundation, and corporate labs. In her spare time, Victoria also creates and sells original art inspired by the naturally-occuring beauty she sees across biology and other scientific fields.

Having switched careers and now happier than ever, Dr. Corbit has a new perspective on what success looks like. She is passionate about demystifying all of the ways to be a scientist (that she never knew about) and hopes to help students understand what could work for them. In this Careers talk, Victoria will describe her journey in science as a career, discuss examples of different opportunities for science graduates at NDRI, and share advice she’s gathered on finding the right science career for you.
