graduate neuroscience

A major goal of the Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience (LIN) is to promote interdisciplinary training in neuroscience. LIN faculty pursue a variety of approaches to understand nervous system functioning. This involves the use of state-of-the-art techniques to elucidate brain and nervous system functions at molecular, cellular, developmental, behavioral and systems levels The various research programs are supported by research grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation and several private funding agencies. Furthermore, LIN faculty have numerous research collaborations with other neuroscience faculty in the Colleges of Medicine, Engineering and Pharmacy that enrich the training and intellectual experience for our graduate students. Specific research interests can be found here

Graduate studies in Neuroscience provides training through various department and cross-department programs. A student may choose one of these specific programs based on their interests or background. Although graduate studies is chosen through a specific program a student will have interactions with faculty, post-doctoral fellows and other graduate students from multiple departments. In addition, a graduate student has the opportunity to take course work in various departments that will be tailored to their interests.
